SS-Series Product Line
The popularity of SRA's Scanning Spectrometer Series (SS-series) has increase dramatically over the past few years. This platform independent system collects and processes complete spectrum from a suite of gamma ray detectors. While commonly used for power plant decommissioning as well as Petroleum and other TNORM (Technologically enhanced Normally Occurring Radiological Material) surveys, the versatility of the SS-Series makes it ideal for nearly any large scale volumetric survey with gamma or x-ray emitting isotopes of concern. SS-Series offers unparalleled survey speeds and significant waster reduction which are the two largest costs of a large scale volumetric clean-up. The SS-Series can be configured onto nearly any type of equipment. To date, the SS-Series has been integrated onto conveyors, heavy earth and excavating equipment, full size trucks and ATVs, by backpack or tripod, manually and self propelled carts, stationary monitoring fixtures, and even custom liquid waste process plants.
