ETTP: K-33 3-Building

K-33, 3-Building Project

March 2001

This project involved the performance of surveys using Shonka Research Associates (SRA) Surface Contamination Monitor / Survey Information Management System (SCM/SIMS) in support of the free release program at the facility. The survey team was responsible for planning and development of survey protocol, project oversight during performance of the survey, data analysis and review, and presentation of the information regarding the survey protocols, results, and reports to the various stakeholders including the Independent Verification Contractor for the facility. The survey included concrete blocks, as well as floor space. The key objective of obtaining independent verification of the survey results, and therefore acceptance of SCM/SIMS survey protocols, by Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), the Independent Verification Contractor, was achieved.
